Functional scope
A single TypeScript interface, the BackendProvider contract, that every app in the estate is written against. The app never talks to a vendor directly, it talks to the contract.
Two implementations behind that contract. One runs on managed Postgres hosting. One runs the same open source engine in Docker on hardware you control. Moving between them is a configuration change, not a rewrite.
A control plane command line tool that creates a complete tenant backend end to end in one command: database, auth, storage, policies, and billing service.
A row level security policy library mirrored from a production estate, so a new tenant starts with policies that have already been exercised by real traffic.
Users and roles
You, or your technical team, or us on care. It sits underneath everything and most days nobody opens it.
Workflow in practice
It runs quietly. Once a week the care routine reads the health of every service, applies pending updates on a staging copy first, and files a short report.
